In this article, we are going to share with you a case study of a work that we recently did in collaboration with Hurst Song Architekten. This time, they contacted us to create some marketing renderings for an apartment building in Zürich.
The goal was to create some photorealistic images to help the client market the project before starting its construction, offering a persuasive proposal for interior design.
They sent us the plans of the project, which consisted of a six-story building with several apartments. Our task was to build the 3D model and make some photorealistic images of the project so the client could start marketing the building before it’s built.
To do this, we follow these steps:
We imported the plans into our 3D software and created the basic geometry of the building. The Hurst Song Architekten team gave us precise specifications on the furniture they wanted in the images, so it was easy and straightforward to achieve the desired result.
After placing the cameras and setting up the overall lighting setup, we sent these first previews to Hurst Song Architekten for them to share some feedback with us. It seemed we were in the right direction!
It was time to apply materials and textures to the walls, floors, windows, doors and other elements of the building. We added furniture and accessories to the interior spaces to bring them to life, making them look more realistic and appealing.
We sent some new previews to Hurst Song Architekten. They were able to see some minor adjustments to be made regarding furniture and materials, and finally we could continue with the high-resolution rendering process.
We rendered the images and made some minor tweaks in post-production. As we are a full-3D basis studio, our images are pretty close to the final result from the very first previews.
The images were delivered to the client for their feedback and approval. What do you think?
How marketing renderings can help make design decisions
Hurst Song Architekten team asked us if we could create two versions of the same renderings: one would have cabinets finished in natural wood, and the second version would have them painted white. This is the result.
